Cloud computing is positioning itself as a new emerging platform for delivering information infrastructures and resources as IT services. Customers (enterprises or individuals) can then provision and deploy these services in a pay-as-you-go fashion and in a convenient way while saving huge capital investment in their own IT infrastructures. It has evoked a high degree of interest internationally with many challenges such as security and privacy remaining open. Green computing, in general, aims to enable computing and IT infrastructures to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Various cloud and green systems have been developed while challenges are gradually identified. This symposium aims to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and developers from different background areas such as service computing, cloud computing and green computing to exchange the latest experience, research ideas and synergic research and development on fundamental issues and applications about cloud and green systems research and development. The symposium solicits high quality research results in all related areas.

Publication of Papers

All accepted papers will appear in the same IEEE CS published proceedings of CGC2011, SCA2011, DASC2011, PICom2011 and EmbeddedCom2011 together with other symposiums and workshops. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register as a full participant of the symposium to have the paper published in the proceedings. Selected papers will be invited to special issues of CGC2011 in Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, or Computing (Springer).
